A Ripple in Time had a great free run, and stormed up Amazon's free charts, to finish in the top fifty overall. Book #1 in the series, A Raucous Time, (a permafree) followed suit, and took the number one spot in free mystery/detective charts.
So massive thanks to all who claimed a free copy, or both those titles, I hope you enjoy the Celtic Cousins' Adventures - even though they're in totally different genres. Reviews are always welcome :) Book 2 in series, reading book 1 is advised, but not necessary.
The premise of a 'trainee' vampire is intriguing, at times Flora struggles to control her new powers. Thankfully Max is by her side. Flora also battles to control her emotions, but her survival depends on mastering her powers and acting from the head, not the heart. But when a ruthless clan of wolves make things personal by murdering innocent loved ones, Flora's determined to hunt down the killer - or killers. Max is equally determined to keep her safe. A whirlwind paced book that had my heart racing, me smiling in places, and almost in tears in others. Ava has an unique voice, and in this story her passion shines through. I could read an isolated paragraph written by her, and immediately know the author was Ava. No-one else has her gift for placing a reader in the story so quickly. From the very first page, I was hooked. Flora is a delight, Max is - well - masterful :) Obviously used to giving orders, but at times Flora defies him, only because she can't bear the thought of losing her eternal mate: She, too, will risk anything to keep him safe. There's a healthy balance of power in this relationship, both in and out of bed. Michelle Fox is a new author to me, but as I read through the book, all I heard was Flora, testimony of how well these two talented authors have collaborated together. Freedom is available to download now - price 99 cents/ around 99 pence, or free on KU The time-travelling paranormal romance, A Ripple in Time is free to download until around midnight, Wednesday 25th January ... I'm not terribly good with different zones, especially when mean & winter time want to play. If you're reading this in the future, check the price is my best advice :) The beautiful cover for A Ripple in Time was designed and created by two talented artists; Monica La Porta, who is also a talented author and Alessandro Fiorini. A mystical woman holds the legendary ship Titanic in her hand. Symbols of time, dandelion seeds swirl in the sky and there's a sun dial on the sands. It's been over five years since Wren and Carrie fell in love. There's a glimpse of their relationship in An Explosive Time ... there's an even briefer glimpse of Lu-Lu, the rescued elephant. That's about to change with A Wild Time. Although the story's a work in progress, a sneak preview of the cover (designed by Christabelle portfolio on Deviant Art, ) appears in the back matter of A Ripple in Time, I simply couldn't wait to share Christabelle's striking design - hope you like it too! If you're not into time travel; more details & a cover reveal for A Wild Time later this week, so watch this space. Author Andrea Pearson has organised a fantastical speculative fiction sale of over seventy authors - that's over seventy titles at only 99 cents! Covers and a short blurb on each are on her site now: Andrea Pearson Books
